Applications for Herbert Smith Freehills Spring (2 weeks) and Summer Vacation schemes (3 weeks) are now open, and they're looking for Trinity students (penultimate and above) of any degree to apply!

What do you do on a vacation scheme?
During the schemes students sit in two different departments and will be in the same room as a partner or an associate doing real work for real clients. You will be involved in workshops and presentations that provide an insight into the breadth of the firm's practice areas. You will be given the opportunity to attend formal and informal social events and meet others on the vacation schemes, as well as partners, associates and trainees. The scheme pays £400 per week.

Opportunity to work in one of the firm's international offices:
HSF offers a global work experience programme. If you secure a place on one of the firm's London vacation schemes, you can apply to undertake a placement in one of our international offices, spending one or two weeks in Brussels, Hong Kong, Paris, Singapore or Tokyo.

When are the vacation schemes held?
Spring scheme:
Application deadline: 18 December 2019
Scheme dates: 14-24 April 2020 (2 weeks)
Summer scheme:
Application deadline: 18 December 2019
Scheme 1 dates: 15 June-3 July 2020 (3 weeks)
Scheme 2 dates: 6 July- 24 July 2020 (3 weeks)

**FIRST YEAR WORKSHOP**
Apply for HSF's first year workshop!

Every spring, HSF run two workshops exclusively for first year students at the London office.
During the two-day workshops you’ll hear from leading lawyers, take part in interactive sessions covering subjects like Corporate Negotiation, Alternative Dispute Resolution, insights into our pro bono work, and a careers fair. You will also have a chance to shadow one of our current trainees and get to know us in a more informal setting at an evening networking event. It’s a great way to learn if a career in law is right for you and it should also give you the tools to make a successful application for a vacation scheme later on.
The only thing we’re looking for is people with the potential to become exceptional lawyers.
