Letting agents are taking the p***. For over a decade, they've been flouting the law, knowing that no-one will stand up to them. They’ve been charging excessive, vague fees for tasks which the tenant legally cannot be charged for. They have been introducing fees at the last minute, and understating their true cost. They have made millions at the expense of people who need a place to live. We’ve be

en working with some of the UK’s leading consumer barristers, who are of the view that many of the fees are unenforceable, and should never have been paid over. This means that people are due a refund. We’re putting together a class action to get people refunded, if the lawsuit wins. We’ll be running a series of lawsuits to test the law in this area.
