📢 Big changes are coming in the 'Universal Credit Bill'.

Proposals to the 'Universal Credit Bill' reveal there will be cuts to (and freezing of) the health elements of Universal Credit (UC) for anyone who becomes entitled to that element on or after 6 April 2026. ⚠️❄️

Anyone entitled before 6 April 2026 and who remains continuously entitled will be protected. ✅🛡️

The standard elements will increase above inflation 📈, and those migrating from tax credits to UC will benefit. 💷📑

🚨 Employment Rights Bill Update 🚨

The ‘Employment Rights Bill’ has seen a significant development which outlines the plan to ban NDAs or confidentiality clauses that attempt to silence workers raising discrimination or harassment claims, effective from 1st October 2025. 🏢

Originally intended to protect intellectual property, the bill aims to allow victims and witnesses to publicly call out this behaviour without the threat of being sued.

✨ A step forward for justice, transparency, and safer workplaces.

📢 Case Update

We recently helped a mother and her two teenage children who had been living in the U.K. without leave for the last 8 years.

The client had previously tried to regularise her stay, but could not afford the high charges from private solicitors. They were destitute and depending on friends and the church to support them.

We were able to assist the client free of charge, with fee waivers covering three applications and immigration health surcharge fees amounting to over £7,700.

✅ The family secured rights to remain in the U.K.
✅ They now have access to public funds for 30 months
✅ The applicant and her eldest child are now allowed to work and contribute to their community
