Case study: Claim against Health Trust
We were instructed to act for a Client who had been wrongly diagnosed as HIV positive for six years and wanted to pursue a claim against his Health Trust. Proceedings were issued but ultimately an out-of-court settlement was reached. Our client received a substantial six-figure payout plus legal costs without having to suffer the stress of a Trial.

Case study: Widow seeking to protect estate from bankruptcy
Our Client was the widow of a professional man who died insolvent. Her late husband's Trustee in Bankruptcy intended to take possession of the whole estate, and our Client needed our assistance to claim a half share of the former matrimonial home on the basis that it was held by her late husband on Trust for both of them. We issued proceedings and the matter continued until just before Trial, when the Trustee agreed to settle the claim on the basis advanced by us and agreed to sell the other half of the house to our Client at market value which was duly accomplished.

Acting for a director of a sizeable plc who had been unfairly dismissed. Proceedings were commenced in the Employment Tribunal and ultimately a substantial six-figure settlement was obtained from the former employer.

Case study: Personal injury
We pursued a personal injury claim on behalf of a photographer who had been assaulted by a lead singer of an international rock band. We successfully negotiated an out of Court settlement on behalf of our Client whereby he received damages both for the injuries he sustained due to the assault and for the damage caused to his equipment.

Case study: Insurance litigation after fire

Acting for the Insurers and Insured against a third party minor's Insurers who negligently burned down the Insured's house causing approximately £1.5m's worth of damage. A successful outcome was reached at Mediation - a month before the scheduled Trial - where we negotiated a substantial settlement and ensured maximum recovery for Insurer and Insured.
