Let’s hope that Apple are better at following the GDPR than Google who take a cavalier attitude to people’s privacy. We are still fighting and winning cases, but have to refer to the ICO far too often to force Google to remove harmful search results

Good news. Now we need Google and others to remove harmful stories about people with spent convictions when requested. Often employers and others only find out about a person's old conviction by searching a name online.

The home secretary plans to "look again" at how much is revealed by job applicants.

We have been up and running for almost a year and we’ve had a very high success rate in that time. We have been effective in cleaning up people’s online reputation and blocking harmful searches.

Some people’s lives have been blighted by past mistakes that continue to haunt them because they are only a tap away on search engines. Others are persecuted by stalkers or have been falsely accused of a crime or misdemeanour, making their lives a misery.

Just this week, we have received a judgment from the ICO in our favour and Google have agreed to block searches about a man who was having a bad divorce.
