Speaker spotlight: Floyd Woodrow MBE DCM – Keynote at the IBC Annual Conference
Floyd Woodrow MBE DCM https://www.linkedin.com/in/floyd-woodrow-33216aa/ is one of the UK’s most respected leadership thinkers, whose lessons on purpose, performance, and resilience are drawn from a truly remarkable career at the highest level of military service.
A former Major in the Special Air Service (SAS), Floyd served with distinction across multiple global theatres. He was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal for gallantry in Iraq and later received an MBE for his leadership in Afghanistan. During his service, he was Head of UK Counter-Terrorism and led the SAS Selection programme, responsible for identifying and developing the next generation of elite soldiers.
Following his military career, Floyd founded Compass for Life https://compassforlife.co.uk/ (also known as Super North Star), a leadership and performance consultancy working with senior executives, sports teams, public bodies, and educational institutions. His methodology helps organisations define their “north star” — a clear sense of purpose that drives excellence and unity under pressure.
We are delighted that Floyd will deliver the keynote address at the The Institute of Barristers' Clerks Annual Conference on Saturday 22 November, where he will explore elite leadership and performance and how to operate at the far right-hand edge of resilience.
