Thank you to the 200+ people who joined us last night at the House of Commons for an evening that reminded us exactly why we do what we do.

Hosted by Rt Hon Caroline Nokes MP, the evening brought together women and men from across law, engineering and policy - united by a shared belief that the story of women’s representation is still being written.

There was something powerful about being in that building, walking past statue after statue of men, and gathering to discover how the first statue depicting a woman came to be placed at the heart of London, in Parliament Square.

Thank you to our partners - the National Association of Women in Construction, the Contemporary Art Society and Limeslade - and to our panel Jordan Kaplan, Joanna Baxendale, Tony Dyson and moderator , who revisited the making of the Millicent Fawcett statue and what it took to place her there.

Evenings like this fuel everything we do.

Thank you Marcos Bevilacqua for the photos πŸ™

πŸ“£ Are you a woman working in law? We want to hear from you!

The legal profession makes significant demands of everyone within it - but in our annual survey this year we want to find out how are women managing their wellbeing? We partnered with RPC LawCare - the mental health charity for the legal sector Ann-Marie Goodbody to take the temperature from the ground up, as we've been doing for the last 7 years now ....

LawCare's Life in the Law 2025 study found that women reported lower wellbeing scores and higher levels of burnout than their male counterparts. Issues such as the impact of fertility treatment or menopause remain poorly understood across much of the sector and many legal employers still lack the policies or support structures to address them.

Today we launch our annual survey to take the temperature of how women in the legal sector are really feeling - and what organisations should be doing to better support them!

Whether you're a solicitor, barrister, paralegal, legal executive, or work in any other capacity in law, your experience matters and your voice counts.

πŸ‘‰ The survey takes just a few minutes and is completely anonymous.

The findings will be shared in a report and will include recommendations that can help organisations introduce measures that actually work for women in law.

If you work in the legal sector, please do take a moment to share your views and share the survey within your organisations or to any woman who should have their say - please pass this on!

Together, we can build a clearer picture of what meaningful, lasting change looks like for women in law.
