New CRS points are coming for Canadian work experience and for qualifying job offers in high-wage occupations. An LMIA will no longer be required for those job offers.

Candidates with a job offer need to update their profiles before November 3, or they could miss out on the new points.

🇯🇵 Japan Immigration Alert: Pre-Entry TB Screening Extended to Indonesian Nationals

Japan is expanding its Pre-Entry Tuberculosis Screening (JPETS) programme to Indonesian nationals.

📅 Key dates

2 November 2026: Screening begins at designated medical institutions in Indonesia
4 January 2027: TB Clearance Certificate becomes mandatory for applicable COE and visa applications

👥 Who’s affected?
Indonesian nationals planning medium- to long-term stays in Japan, including certain digital nomads and their families. Short-term “Temporary Visitors” are generally exempt.

✅ What employers should do now
Confirm which applicants are in scope, check the list of designated clinics, and build screening time into COE and visa timelines. Certificates are generally valid for 180 days from the chest X-ray.
