Many employers do not realise how important sponsor licence compliance is until the Home Office comes knocking.

In 2026, approximately 400 to 500 sponsor licences are being revoked every month. Many more businesses are facing compliance audits and inspections.

The Home Office regularly updates its register of licensed sponsors, and every month hundreds of employers quietly disappear from the list after losing their licence. For many businesses, this can have serious consequences, including losing the ability to sponsor overseas workers and disruption to day-to-day operations.

The reality is simple: it is far better to prepare for a compliance audit than to deal with the consequences afterwards.

At Nara Solicitors, we help sponsor licence holders stay compliant through our Sponsor Licence Audit Service. Our experienced team reviews your HR systems, record keeping, reporting processes and compliance procedures to identify issues before the Home Office does.

We have helped employers successfully navigate Home Office audits and retain their sponsor licences by addressing compliance risks early.

If you hold a sponsor licence and would like to understand your compliance position, get in touch with our team today.

Read our client success stories and find out how our compliance audits have helped businesses protect their sponsor licences and continue sponsoring skilled workers with confidence.

This application was particularly important as the applicant had very limited time remaining on their visa. In situations like these, every detail matters.

Another successful Skilled Worker Visa application approved. 🎉

At our firm, we handle hundreds of immigration applications every month. However, some cases stand out because of the circumstances behind them.

Immigration is often life-changing. Behind every visa application is a person, a family, and a future in the UK.

Myth vs Reality: Long-Term Visitor Visas for Family Members of Skilled Workers

A common misconception we hear is:

“If a Skilled Worker visa holder has only a short period of leave in the UK, their family members cannot obtain a long-term Visitor visa.”

This is a myth.

The validity of a UK Visitor visa is not automatically linked to the length of a Skilled Worker visa held by a family member in the UK.

Recently, Nara Solicitors assisted family members of a Skilled Worker visa holder in obtaining 10-year UK Visitor visas.

Interestingly, one applicant had last visited the UK in 2005, while another had visited in 2022. Despite limited UK travel history, the applicants were granted long-term Visitor visas.

This case highlights an important point: the length of a Skilled Worker visa does not, by itself, determine whether family members can be granted a long-term Visitor visa. Each application is assessed on its own merits.

With the right legal advice, carefully prepared applications and supporting evidence, applicants can maximise their prospects of success.

If you are considering applying for a long-term Visitor visa for your family members, our team at Nara Solicitors would be pleased to assist.

The UK Government just made it cheaper to hire global talent.

If you run a high-growth business in tech, life sciences or clean energy, this one is worth your attention.
On 9 June, the government unveiled a new package to help Britain's fastest-growing firms attract and keep international talent. Two parts stand out for employers:

✅ A visa fee reimbursement scheme for scale-ups in priority sectors
✅ A bespoke concierge service to cut through regulation, finance and procurement delays

There is more. A new Office for Investment fast-track referral is designed to help overseas businesses secure a UK Expansion Worker sponsor licence faster, so international firms can set up here with less friction.

The ambition behind it is bold. The government wants to build Britain's first trillion-dollar firm, and it is backing that with real support for companies ready to scale.

For ambitious employers, the message is clear. The UK wants you to hire the best people from around the world, and it is putting funding behind that goal.

The detail still matters. Eligibility criteria, the application process and timelines are still to be confirmed. And remember, a sponsor licence brings compliance duties that do not disappear once a fee is reimbursed. Getting it right from day one protects your licence, your workforce and your business.

We are watching this closely and will update as official guidance lands.

🎉 Another win for a returning client.

Last year, we helped this company secure its sponsor licence. This year, they came back to us with a tighter problem (request for a CoS)

They had found the right person for a new role. The catch? That person's visa was about to expire. No Certificate of Sponsorship in time meant they could lose the hire altogether.

So we moved fast.

We secured a priority request to speed up the application. Then the Home Office came back asking for more information, which can easily throw a deadline off course.

Our team responded straight away. We gathered exactly what was needed and submitted a complete reply with no back and forth.

✅ The result? The CoS was allocated within a week of that submission. The client made the hire before the visa deadline became a problem.

Success Story: Skilled Worker visa granted in just 2 working days ✅

Our client had been living and working in the UK on the Skilled Worker route since 2023. In 2026, she secured a new role with a different employer.

Changing sponsor means a fresh application and a new Certificate of Sponsorship. Her new employer assigned the CoS in May 2026, and she instructed us to handle the rest.

The result?

✅ A successful decision within just 2 working days of her biometric appointment

Success Story: Sponsor Licence granted in 24 hours, with a CoS allocated. 🎉

An air conditioning installation and services company came to us. They had already found the worker they wanted to hire. What they needed was a sponsor licence, and they needed the decision quickly.
So we got to work.

Our approach is always the same. Go through every document, line by line, and make sure nothing is missing that could put the licence application at risk of rejection.

That attention to detail and team expertise mattered here.

✅ Submitted under the priority service on 27 May
✅ Sponsor licence granted on 29 May, just one day after the supporting documents went in
