Solicitor Cho Solicitor Cho page is run by me, (she/ her). I am a Solicitor-Advocate, England & Wales

Eunyoung Cho is a Solicitor Advocate practising in the jurisdiction of England and Wales, specialising in UK Immigration Law. She acts for both individuals and corporations on personal and business immigration issues for all nationalities coming to the UK. Her service covers the full spectrum of visa applications (inside and outside the UK), administrative reviews, appeals, special/ written representations at the Border. She can assist in migration planning for individuals, families, and managing global mobility of employees, business representatives, and investors to the UK. Eunyoung has a wealth of experience in assisting a wide variety of international clients, including overseas government organisations, banks, food & beverages import/ export companies, toy manufacturing and sales companies, restaurant & hospitality, third sector organisations, e.g. religious/ ecclesiastical corporations, and education charities, to advise on all aspects of successful sponsor licence entry and compliance. In relation to UK employment law, Eunyoung is often instructed by employers and their HR departments to consult on current employee and policy management, to draft contract/handbook, deal with internal dispute resolution, draft and execute settlement agreements, as well as immigration compliance. She is an experienced advocate in Immigration appeals and Judicial Review hearings against Home Office refusals. She acts for both Claimants and Defendants at the Employment Tribunals in discrimination and dismissal claims, and any breach of contract and negligence actions for both individuals and companies, at all levels of Tribunals and civil courts in England and Wales.

On the left, I am getting ready for my Call Night. I remember a thoroughly beaten and slightly victorious, if relieved, recent Bar School graduate, about to embark upon that road strewn with shards of the broken dreams of so many who came before her, drawing in that long breath to conjure up hope and expel the uncertainty of her future. In Michaelmas Term 2006, I was called to the Utter Bar by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple and became a baby barrister.

20 years on, last week, I found myself back at the same spot, hurrying again to get ready for dinner in Hall, as I had for all those dinners that certainly exceeded the required qualifying sessions 🍷. In the midst of the bustle, I suddenly caught a glimpse of myself in the same mirror and stopped still, my breath taken just as it had been 20 years ago, in that very spot. A reel began playing in my head of all the life’s losses, wins, loves and growth woven into the fabric of time to form that bridge between those two reflections.

So, still a Middle Templar, now a ‘defector’ to the ‘other’ profession 🤭🤭🤭 and rather comfortable in my own skin, to say the least ✨

I am going to be at the 33rd Annual Conference of International Association of Korean Lawyers (IAKL) next week. I’ll be speaking and answering questions on UK immigration, along with two other distinguished US immigration attorneys, Heidi Son esq. of Kodem Son Tang, and David Jung esq. of Fragomen US, presenting the US side, and moderated by Woojin Lee of WL Law from South Korea !

Global Talent Visa: Design has arrived.

From 1 July 2026, the UK has introduced a new Design endorsement route under the Global Talent visa, with the Design Business Association (DBA) acting as the endorsing body.

I’ve spent some time reading the newly published guidance and one thing immediately struck me…

This isn’t simply “Global Talent for designers.”

The guidance is carefully drafted. It focuses on commercial design and the design of functional products, services and systems, whilst drawing clear boundaries around areas that remain within the remit of other endorsing bodies.

It’ll be fascinating to see how the first applications shape this new route.
