Not every transaction is straightforward. Some require precision, patience, and complete control at every stage.
Our client, a non UK national living in London, instructed us on the sale of a high value Central London property subject to strict regulatory restrictions. Nothing could proceed without approval from the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation. Every payment, from legal fees to agent costs and service charges, required prior authorisation. Any misstep risked halting the transaction entirely.
So we took the lead.
We worked closely with the client’s family office, advisors and agents, preparing a fully compliant document pack and securing approval for all payments, including those outside the original licence. Every detail was managed carefully to keep the transaction moving.
The result was a fully compliant completion with the new owner registered at the Land Registry.

Once our clients are ready to proceed, Ekaterina guides them through the onboarding process, ensuring everything is set up correctly from the outset.
Her work focuses on compliance, including KYC, AML and complex source of funds checks. She carries out thorough due diligence and supports clients through these initial stages, helping to ensure transactions progress smoothly and efficiently.
With five years’ experience as an in-house legal counsel, Ekaterina brings a strong background in compliance, contracts and regulatory matters. Her structured and detail-focused approach gives our clients clarity and confidence from the start.
She holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in law from the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, specialising in international law, and is fluent in both English and Russian. A valuable asset for cross-border matters.
