UK Association for European Law THE UKAEL BRINGS TOGETHER ALL THOSE WITH AN INTEREST IN EU LAW. Through conferences and the new Blog

THE UKAEL BRINGS TOGETHER ALL THOSE ACROSS THE UK WITH AN INTEREST IN EUROPEAN UNION LAW. Through lectures, conferences and other events it promotes a better understanding of EU law, encourages debate and discussion on current issues, and as the UK branch of FIDE, is part of an international network of European law associations. The new EU Law Blog is part of the wider effort to spread knowledge a

nd raise awareness of the importance of EU law. It seeks to highlight the positive changes it brought to the UK, as well as changes that could be made to it where there is room for improvement. In the light of an imminent in-out EU referendum which is likely to take place before the end of 2017, we hope that this blog could help the UK–the lawyers, the politicians and the laymen–to make an informed choice, being ever vigilant to distortions and misrepresentations by the press and political parties. The Blog is run by the student representatives of the UKAEL, with contributions predominantly from students, practitioners and academics in the UK. We welcome anyone who is interested in EU law to chip in and offer new ideas, so please get in touch if you feel that you could help us make a difference, have a blog post you would like to publish, or would simply like to find out more about the UKAEL.
