Our journey first began in October 1998, when Shabbir commenced private practice at the Bar in Bristol and Leeds respectively. Following 8-years as a practising Barrister with a mixed court-based practice specialising in immigration law, criminal law, employment law, civil law, personal injury and criminal injuries compensation claims, in December 2006, he acquired registration to practice as a “Level 3 Specialist Consultant” regulated immigration advisor under the auspices of the Office of Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC).
In his capacity as a sole practitioner, Shabbir founded “Visatrek UK Immigration Lawyers” (former OISC Registration Number F200600121), stemming from his commitment to offer comprehensive advice and meticulous case preparation in UK immigration applications and appeal representation. During his 13-year tenure as its Principal Lawyer, he advised and represented a vast array of clients from a multitude of different countries and cultural backgrounds, in addition to national and international businesses and charitable organisations, by securing success in acquiring their visas and Sponsor Licences or positively challenging Home Office immigration decisions by applying for Administrative Review or at appeal hearings before the immigration tribunal and higher courts.
In March 2019, Shabbir took the professional decision to return to private practice at the Bar. The objective was simple. The illustrious reputation of Visatrek UK Immigration Lawyers would now be brought to the public under the new name of “Visatrek UK Immigration Barristers”. Clients can now instruct Shabbir directly for their case from start to finish whilst being assured of receiving advice and representation from a seasoned specialist Public Access Immigration Barrister, giving them confidence in our ability to meet their migration related aspirations. As our journey continues amidst one of the most complex, challenging and ever-fluctuating areas of UK law, we have ensured that we continue to adapt and stay well-informed of the latest developments, hence why our success rate has continued to soar and has served to further enhance our well-earned reputation.
