On Wednesday, 19th March we were honoured to plead against the team from Queen Mary university at the offices of CMS Cameron McKenna.
Leonore De Mullewie and Emma Hynes represented King's on behalf of the counsel for Claimant against Queen Mary serving as Respondents. The pre-moot was judged by the Head of Litigation Department at CMS, Tim Hardy, and two Associates, Csaba Kovacs and Kushal Gandhi. Inquisitive yet fair, the judges gave detailed feedback on the mooters' performances that will definitely be helpful when preparing for Vienna. It was noted that all participants had very strong knowledge of law and facts, as well as good oral presentation skills, in general.
We would like to extend our thanks to the opposing team for their excellent performance and the firm for hosting the pre-moot. As our sponsor, CMS Cameron McKenna UK Graduates has provided our team with excellent training by our coaches Maria-Krystyna Duval and Frances Thomas, as well as overall guidance and support in preparing for the 21st Willem C. Vis Moot. We are also excited to be attending the reception at the Austrian office of CMS Cameron McKenna in honour of the Vis Moot on the 14th April in Vienna!
