UK has now been cut, in welcome news to first time buyers and homebuyers alike. This means significant savings on new property purchases with the the nil-rate stamp duty band raised from £125,000 to £250,000. This means an extra 200,000 buyers will pay no stamp duty whatsoever.

The threshold for first time buyers has been raised from £300,000 up to £425,000 and can be used on purchases worth up to £625,000. On average the move will save the average buyer in England upwards of £2,500 in taxes on a property purchases.
