🚨 IMPORTANT UK IMMIGRATION RULE CHANGES – EFFECTIVE 3 AUGUST 2026 🇬🇧

The UK Home Office has announced important changes to the Immigration Rules that will come into effect on 3 August 2026. If you are studying, working, or planning to travel to the UK, these updates may affect you.

🔹 1. Graduate Route – UK-born Babies
Parents holding a Graduate visa will now be able to apply for their UK-born baby to become a Graduate dependant. The application must be made from within the UK.

🔹 2. Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)
For ETA applications submitted on or after 3 August 2026, applicants who have received a custodial or suspended sentence of 12 months or more (in the UK or overseas) will normally have their ETA refused. Existing ETAs may also be cancelled on this basis.

🔹 3. Immigration Bail Applications
The Home Office has introduced changes allowing some individuals on immigration bail to apply under certain immigration routes where specific exceptions apply. This may affect applications under:
✅ Student & Student Dependant
✅ Child Student
✅ Parent of a Child Student
✅ Graduate & Graduate Dependant
✅ Skilled Worker
✅ Visitor

📢 *New Priority Service for British Citizenship Applications*
The Home Office has introduced a new Priority Service for most British citizenship applications.
For an additional £500, eligible applications will now be processed within 30 working days from the date of the biometric appointment. Applications submitted without the priority service will continue to have the standard processing time of up to six months.
Before choosing the priority service, keep these important points in mind:
📌 The priority service does not guarantee a decision within 30 working days. Applications that are more complex or require additional checks may still take longer.
📌 If your application has already been submitted and is awaiting a decision, you cannot upgrade it to the priority service.
📌 The priority service only speeds up the processing time—it does not affect the outcome of your application.

Stop Believing the Hype: The Real Story Behind the UK’s New Scale-Up Visa Funding

You’ve probably seen the headlines: “UK gov gives £25k to every scale-up for visas!” Sounds amazing, right? Well, let’s pump the brakes and look at what’s actually on offer.

The UK Government has launched the Visa Fees Reimbursement Scheme for Scale-Ups (VFRS4SU). Yes, there’s funding. But it’s not free money for every business. Here’s the reality:

The Funding (The Good News)
Eligible businesses can claim:

· Up to £5,000 per international hire (including dependants)
· Up to £25,000 per business per year

It covers visa fees for Skilled Worker, Global Talent, and Scale-Up visa routes.

The Catch (Why It’s Not What It Seems)

❌ Strict Eligibility: You must be a UK scale-up with 20%+ average annual growth in staff or turnover over 3 continuous years, starting with at least 10 employees.

❌ Sector-Specific: Only Clean Energy, Life Sciences, and Digital & Technologies companies qualify.

❌ First-Come, First-Served: Funding is limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Once it’s gone, it’s gone!

❌ Short Window: Applications opened 16 June 2026 and close 1 March 2027 (or earlier if funds run out).

❌ Business, Not Individual: Employees cannot apply directly—only the employer can.

The Bottom Line
This is a targeted grant for a tiny fraction of UK businesses—not a blanket subsidy. If you’re a fast-growing tech, life sciences, or clean energy firm, act fast. If you’re not in those boxes, this scheme isn’t for you.

🇬🇧 যুক্তরাজ্যের ইমিগ্রেশন বিল ২০২৬: বড় পরিবর্তন আসছে!

যুক্তরাজ্য সরকার Immigration and Asylum Bill 2026 সংসদে উত্থাপন করেছে। এটি ইমিগ্রেশন ও অ্যাসাইলাম আপিল ব্যবস্থায় সাম্প্রতিক সময়ের সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সংস্কার প্রস্তাব।

🔴 মূল প্রস্তাব: বর্তমান First-tier Tribunal-এর পরিবর্তে Independent Immigration Appeals Authority (IIAA) নামে একটি নতুন স্বাধীন কর্তৃপক্ষ গঠন করা হবে, যা অধিকাংশ আপিল শুনানি পরিচালনা করবে।

1️⃣ IIAA প্রতিষ্ঠা – নতুন স্বাধীন ট্রাইব্যুনাল।

The UK's pathway to Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) and British citizenship may become stricter, more expensive, and more complex.

A report published on 23 June 2026 by the House of Lords Justice and Home Affairs Committee raised significant concerns about the Government's proposed "earned settlement" model.

Key points from the report:

✅ The Committee did not endorse the proposed approach.
