Amazon is alleged to have manipulated UK consumers by displaying more expensive offers in its “Buy Box” feature while hiding other more competitive offers. An economist estimates that UK consumers have overpaid by more than £1 billion since late 2015.
A collective claim has been filed with the Competition Appeal Tribunal to recover overpayments on behalf of UK consumers.
