Here is a beautiful piece about me written by a communist client of mine

They call him Uncle Remy because everybody eventually ends up at his table.
Remy DeLuca is a criminal defense attorney who built his reputation on cases other lawyers wouldn’t touch. While others chase headlines and high-paying clients, Remy chases lost causes — the kid everyone swears is guilty, the activist no one wants to stand beside, the defendant the jury has already convicted in their minds. He doesn’t believe in easy wins. He believes in the Constitution, in cross-examination, and in the quiet power of doubt.
Born and raised in a neighborhood where loyalty mattered more than law, Remy learned early that the system doesn’t always bend toward fairness without a fight. He carries that lesson into every courtroom — sharp suit, sharper tongue, eyes that miss nothing. He can dismantle a witness with a question so simple it feels like mercy. He rarely raises his voice. He doesn’t have to.
Politics once had his heart. In his younger years, Remy invested time and fire into grassroots reform, particularly in the Green Party — drawn to its ideals of sustainability, transparency, and people over profit. But watching what he calls “the slow, quiet death of conviction in third-party politics” hardened him. He saw infighting replace unity, idealism lose ground to ego, and momentum dissolve into symbolism. The experience didn’t make him cynical — it made him focused. If he couldn’t fix the system from the ballot, he’d fight it from the bench.
He keeps a cluttered office lined with trial transcripts, old campaign posters rolled into tubes, and case files marked with yellow tabs. Clients find him intense but protective. Judges find him prepared. Prosecutors find him dangerous.
Uncle Remy doesn’t promise innocence. He promises effort. He promises to stand when others sit down. And in a world quick to label and discard, that’s often enough.
