It has been a very difficult few days for the Panth to digest the news of the sudden demise of Bhai Avtar Singh Khanda, aged 35.

Paaji dedicated his whole life to the Panth, following in the footsteps of his shaheed father. He tirelessly fought for truth, justice, and freedom.

He was a well-spoken, knowledgeable, and influential voice for the Panth and younger generations.

Paaji had his own swag and style, which was loved by many. You would rarely see him without a scarf. He was known to be very trend and well presented.

Many learnt so much from just speaking with him. He was kind, compassionate, and always made people feel welcome.

Paaji had always supported and respected the work that Kaurs Legal has been doing over the years. Often referring clients and cases to us.

We are very sad to hear this news, and it will be difficult to digest for months and years to come 🙏🏽.

May Maharaj give courage to Mata ji and the Panth to deal with this trauma and pain 🙏🏽.

The Panth lost a Heera 💎.

One thing is for sure his legacy will live on for generations to come 🙏🏽.

Important Announcement

Courts and Tribunals around the UK have applied strict limitations on the Kirpan which prohibit Sikhs from carrying their small size kirpan into the court building and other public places. This policy has been challenged by Jaskeerat Singh Gulshan, by legal action and we have a hearing to seek permission to appeal on the 9th February 2023 at 10:00 AM in the Court of Appeal.

This matter is being heard by two of the highest ranks judges in the UK, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales & Vice President of the Court of Appeal, Lord Justice Underhill.

Sikhs around the UK are requested to attend this hearing as it impacts Sikhs' right to wear their small standard-sized kirpan into court buildings and other public buildings.
