Every law firm has a story.
The journey of Family Lawyer London began in July 2020, amidst a world in turmoil. It was the perfect time to do something different. Tired of time recording, billing targets, and the feeling of treating clients like just another case, I knew I wanted to practice family law my way.
At that time, I realised that a traditional law firm structure wouldn’t support my vision of balancing work with motherhood. I sought flexibility, so I made the decision to join a dispersed law firm as a Consultant Partner, and that's when I began marketing myself as Family Lawyer London.
I was fortunate to have the support of my friends, Andreea Tufescu and Jennifer Yen who helped me craft my brand. Andreea captured lovely photos of me (not just me saying so!), while Jen brought my brand style to life. I built my website myself (learning as I went along) and within a month of deciding to take this step toward independence, my website and new branding went live.
The support of fellow female entrepreneurs has been truly invaluable. They have referred me to their clients and friends, and their encouragement made all the difference. There's something incredibly powerful about women supporting each other in business.
Consulting allowed me to lay the foundation for my brand and build my business until I was ready to launch my own law firm. In February 2025, Family Lawyer London was officially authorised by the SRA. While my branding has evolved slightly over time, my core values remain unchanged: expert family law advice, with empathy and support at its core, for those navigating difficult times and ready to turn over a new leaf.
