📢 U.S. IMMIGRATION UPDATE: Permanent B1/B2 Visa Bond Program Finalized 🇺🇸
The U.S. Department of State has officially finalized its Visa Bond Program into a permanent policy.
Under this regulation, U.S. consular officers may require B1/B2 (Business/Tourist) visa applicants from specific designated countries to deposit a refundable bond of up to $20,000 ($10,000, $15,000, or $20,000) prior to visa issuance.
🟢 Good News for Applicants in Pakistan 🇵🇰
Pakistan is NOT included in the current U.S. Visa Bond Program country list.
Standard U.S. B1/B2 visa application procedures, criteria, and standard fee structures remain unchanged for Pakistani citizens.
🌐 Key Highlights of the Policy:
🎯 Scope: Applies strictly to designated countries identified by the Department of State based on specific immigration compliance and overstay criteria.
💵 Refundability: The bond is fully refunded if the traveler complies with all terms of their visa, enters/exits through permitted commercial ports of entry, and departs the U.S. within the authorized timeframe.
📋 Designated Countries Covered: Include Algeria, Angola, Bangladesh, Cuba, Ethiopia, Georgia, Nepal, Nigeria, Tajikistan, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, among others. (Country lists remain subject to rolling updates by the U.S. government).
