MEET THE TEAM...

Hi, I’m Grace Mitchell. I’m a Trainee Solicitor at Bone & Payne Solicitors, based in our Colwyn Bay office.

I’ve been with Bone & Payne for 2 and a half years, starting as a paralegal in January 2024 while completing my Legal Practice Course. I began my training contract in September 2024 and I’m due to qualify as a solicitor in September 2026. I hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Criminology and a Master of Laws in Professional Legal Practice.

What I enjoy most about working here is the people I work with - it’s a really supportive and friendly team.

Outside of work, I enjoy going on holiday whenever I get the chance!

MEET THE TEAM...

Hi, I’m Alica Murray. I’m a Paralegal in the Commercial Department at Bone & Payne Solicitors, based in the Colwyn Bay office. In my role, I focus on making legal advice clear and easy to understand, highlighting the key points so clients know exactly what really matters.

I’ve been with Bone & Payne for 2 years, and I bring over 11 years of legal experience across the UK and Slovakia, working in commercial and energy law. I joined the firm in 2024 and I’m currently working towards qualification in the UK via the CILEX route.

My qualifications include a Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate in Law from Comenius University in Bratislava.

What I enjoy most about working at Bone & Payne is being part of a friendly, positive and highly experienced team. It’s a great environment for learning and developing my legal skills!

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, scuba diving and skiing whenever I get the chance.

MEET THE TEAM...

Hi, I’m Jamie Herbert. I’m a Partner at Bone & Payne Solicitors and head up our Company Law & Commercial Conveyancing Department in Colwyn Bay.

I joined Bone & Payne in 2017 and became a Partner in 2021. With around 16 years of experience in law, I advise clients on a wide range of business matters, including company transactions, commercial property and business restructuring.

What I enjoy most about my role is building strong relationships with clients and helping them navigate important business decisions with confidence.

One thing that often surprises clients is how varied my role is. No two days are the same, with work ranging from business sales and shareholders' agreements to commercial property transactions and contracts.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf, getting back into cricket after a long break, and following football, cricket and rugby.

I hold an LLB from the University of Liverpool and an LPC with Distinction from the University of Law.

I believe good legal advice should be practical and easy to understand, so I always aim to explain matters clearly and focus on what is most important to my clients.
