The Liverpool Branch of CILEx held it’s AGM on the 14th March in MSB Solicitors in Liverpool City Centre. The AGM was once again very well attended.
The evening started with the resignation of our Chair of the last two years, Mr Chris Walker. His resignation was accepted and the committee would like to join the new Chair in thanking Chris for his support and leadership of the branch over the last two years and to wish him look in the future.
Miss Stephanie Houghton of MSB solicitors put herself forward as Chair of the branch. As she has so amiably been Chris’ vice Chair for the past two years it seemed to be a natural progression for both Steph and the branch. She was duly voted in unanimously by all those in attendance with voting rights.
Mr Andrew Turner of Legal provisions took up the post of vice Chair, with Dave Brown of James Murray Solicitors staying on as treasurer it was left to Julie Hughes of UU PLC to take up the post of secretary.
The following also decided to join the committee as members, John McCreaney, Danielle Blaylock, Stacy Halbert, David Smith, Guillaume Chipchaise and Tsitsi Munodawafa giving the branch a whole new look and providing members from all aspects of the law.
Due to the increasing level of interest that has been shown, the Liverpool Branch plan to be as active as possible with many upcoming events this year, details of which will be published on our page.
