We’ve raised £1,575 for Mind so far this year, and I’d love you to help us add to that total.

Throughout October, we’re donating £20 to Mind for every new will or will review appointment completed during the month when you quote MIND2026 at booking.

You can still take part even if you already have a will. Perhaps your circumstances have changed since you made it, or you’d like to check that it still reflects your wishes. My team and I would be happy to talk this through with you.

Mind is our charity of the year and a cause close to the hearts of several of our colleagues. The donation comes from us, so there’s no additional cost to you, although our normal will-writing fees apply.

Carla Wright has been with us since 2011, back when we were Keith Levin & Co and there were just two people in the conveyancing department!

Since then, we’ve merged with Jones Robertson to become JR Levins, and our conveyancing team has grown to include 4 full time fee earners.

Last year I started volunteering at Edge Hill University’s Law Clinic, helping third year law students gain an insight into what it’s like to work in the real world.

Here I am with Charles Lawrence, Kristina Stoddern and our clinic administrator Jan Caddick, catching up over a coffee before Charles gave his introductory talk to the students.

I think it’s really important that students have the opportunity to learn from practising solicitors and ask questions about the job. Sharing our honest experiences helps bridge the gap between what they learn through their studies and what it’s like to work with clients.

The clinic gives students practical experience while providing free legal advice to people in the local community. Its valuable for everyone involved, and I’m happy to be able to share what I’ve learnt to help the next generation of legal professionals who are still finding their feet.
