A quick tip from Richard, Director and Head of Court of Protection at Black Norman:

If you're gifting a set amount of money in your will (for example, £5,000 to a grandchild), that fixed figure can lose real value over time.

The fix is a simple RPI-linked clause. It ties the gift to inflation, so a £5,000 gift written today could be worth around £11,000 in 20 years, without needing to update your will every few years.
