£40,000 - Average cost of a Family Law hearing in 2017*
At Arkouda Legal, we believe in efficiency in the division of assets, not in racking up fees spinning blame, which means the average cost with us can equal only £2,000 or less - This is 95% less than the cost of one hearing alone.

One Lawyer Method - Despite what many lawyers may tell you, fault has been removed from Divorce proceedings altogether. Our philosophy is to use one lawyer when possible. This eliminates unnecessary argument and consequential costs.

Why employ two lawyers when one will deliver a better outcome?

A Spanish Lawyer based in London, has managed to get the fees for the simple transfer of the title deeds of a Spanish apartment to over 30,000€. He's drawn the case out for almost four years. This is despite the fact that I wrote to him offering to sign any transfer documents in 2015. All he had to do was draw them up.
The transfer of the deeds of a Spanish property is a simple process that should cost no more than a few hundred Euros.
If you want to pay extortionate fees, retain lawyers like this. He is worsening the reputation of the legal profession.

Finally the UK Government has noticed that there are huge problems in Family Law. They say that the system creates too much conflict, which I stated in my Dissertation on Family Law fifteen years ago. I also provided the solution, but the system didn't want to know.

Earlier this year I went to Spain to defend a case, where the opposing Spanish lawyer had managed to create fees for his 87 year old client, of approximately Euros 20,000 for a straightforward property transfer. He then retained another lawyer to sue my client for an additional cost of approximately Euros 5,000, with no cause of action. The property still isn't transferred officially, despite our numerous requests for the required documents.
We would therefore suggest that it is best not to sign any contract for a property transfer that does not have a fixed price.
The question remains whether or not we should name Manuel Martin as the culprit. This case has caused numerous problems for no good reason at all.

Nelson Mandela was the most celebrated politician in recent history, the reason? He fought for Human Rights in Africa.
Recently Theresa May announced the removal of the European Convention of Human Rights (ECHR) from UK law.
The ECHR has 47 member states, it is a statute designed by UK lawyers after the second world war, to protect us all against the injustice of tyrannical political regimes.
It seems that big sister is more dangerous than we care to believe.

We discover more and more people who find themselves the victims of unscrupulous lawyers. We therefore provide a specific service, for a fixed price to resolve your legal issues.

It is becoming more and more common that we find that certain unscrupulous solicitors are charging large amounts of money for doing little or no work at all.

Knowledge is Power.
2000 years ago the Roman Senate controlled the proletariat by refusing to tell them of the laws of the land. This meant that the authorities could do as they pleased because they were the only people who knew the law. That is until it was pointed out that the people could not abide by the law, if they did not have a clue what it was. This led to the creation of twelve stone tablets upon which was written the basis of Roman Law.

The Conservative Party introduced the Family Law Act 1996 which consisted of four sections:
1. General Principles.
2. No fault divorce and the provision of full information on basic rights and the law.
3. Legal Aid.
4. Dementia and Violence.
Sections 1, 3 and 4 were implemented in 2000, yet Section 2 was not.
It seems therefore that times change little over the years. Clearly the provision of full information would take away the power of the Family Lawyers.

Arkouda Legal aim to fill the vacuum by providing the information that should have been ordered under Section 2 of the Family Law Act 1996. In this way Arkouda Legal help reduce problems in Family Law.

Not much has changed over the years in Family Law except that the system has deteriorated considerably due to Tory cutbacks and misguided policy. We underpin our support for our clients by providing full information, on matters such as Human Rights, that lawyers often fail to divulge. Our detailed analysis of the law, in effect, saves our clients time and money.
