What happens if you die without a Will?

It’s something most of us would rather not think about — but it’s important to understand what could happen.

If you die without a valid Will, your estate is dealt with under the rules of intestacy. This means the law decides who can inherit, rather than you deciding exactly who you want to benefit.

Depending on your circumstances, the people you would have chosen may not receive what you expected.

What does my role involve? 💼

My role involves supporting Sharon in all aspects of estate planning matters. This includes preparing and drafting legal documents such as Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Trust documentation, managing client files, liaising with clients to obtain instructions and provide updates, and ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed and compliant with legal requirements.



What's my favourite hobby? 🐎

Horse riding has always been a passion of mine since I was 5 years old. I enjoy spending time with my three horses, Allan, Neavie and Chester, and cherish the special bond I have with each of them. It is my favourite way to unwind and switch off from the day.



What am I currently working towards? 💫

I am currently working towards further developing my knowledge and experience in estate planning, with the aim of progressing my career and continuing to provide the highest level of support to clients.

The most rewarding part of my role is building trusted relationships with clients and helping them feel confident about the future. Knowing that I've made a positive difference by helping families protect what matters most is incredibly fulfilling.

What’s something people might be surprised to know about you? ⚡️

Outside of work, I'm a passionate crown green bowler. I play for many teams, represent the county, and spend most of my time competing on the green. My husband also plays, so it's a hobby we share. I'm very competitive when it comes to the sport. I enjoy the challenge, strategy, and focus it requires, as well as being part of a sporting community.
