⚠️ Important changes to DBS regulated activity are coming into place.

From 1 September 2026, the volunteer supervision exemption will be removed. This means some volunteers working with children may now fall within regulated activity and require an Enhanced DBS check with Children’s Barred List information.

Organisations should review their internal guidance, roles and recruitment processes for both new recruits and existing personnel to ensure they’re prepared.
