I’m pleased to introduce the newest member of the HS Legal team, Sara Kassam, who joined us last week as our new Legal Assistant. 💙

Sara will be supporting the team across a range of legal and client-related work, including file management, preparing documents, taking instructions, liaising with clients and assisting with the progression of matters.

As HS Legal continues to grow, having the right people around me is really important. Sara joins Seema and me at an exciting stage for the firm, and I’m looking forward to seeing her develop her skills and experience as part of the team.

Lovely catching with Anita Manjhu yesterday, founder of Anita | Trauma Informed & Nervous System Specialist

What was meant to be a catch-up turned into nearly TWO hours of chatting and honestly, we could have carried on!

Anita provides coaching and support through her Healing and Reset programmes, helping people navigate the emotional side of difficult relationships and divorce, both during the process and afterwards.

She’s also the author of Her Serenity: Healing After Abuse, a book I would genuinely recommend to anyone going through a difficult relationship, separation or divorce.

As a family solicitor, I see first-hand that divorce isn’t just about the legal process. There’s a huge emotional side too, and having the right support around you can make such a difference.

The HS Legal team are taking part in 100 Miles in October for Breast Cancer Now, working together to reach 100 miles throughout the month.

A little bit of movement, a lot of steps and a very important cause. 💕

I’m so pleased to share that Seema has been promoted to Senior Legal Assistant! 🎉💚

Over the past year, Seema has become so much more than just a member of the team — she’s genuinely become my right-hand woman. 🤍

She’s taken on more responsibility, supported me through the growth of HS Legal, helped with new starters and become someone I can rely on to keep things moving behind the scenes.

Watching her confidence and knowledge grow has been lovely, and I’m really pleased to recognise that with her promotion to Senior Legal Assistant.

💙 Meet our HS Legal Helpers – Little Helpers

Little Helpers is the children’s part of HS Legal, giving children the opportunity to learn about kindness, community and helping others.

Through fun, age-appropriate activities, our Little Helpers can get involved in our community appeals — from creating cards and colouring pictures to donating books, putting together activity packs and thinking of little ways to brighten someone else’s day.

We believe little hands, big hearts can make a big difference.

This winter, we’re asking our wonderful community to help us bring a little extra warmth to women and children supported by Women’s Aid. ❤️

At HS Legal, we support families through every chapter.

This winter, we’re collecting warm winter essentials to help women and children who may be facing an incredibly difficult time.

🧥 Good-quality coats (new or good as new)
🧣 Hats & scarves
🧤 Gloves
🧦 Warm socks
👢 Boots/wellies where requested
🧴 Toiletries & winter essentials
📚 New books & children’s activities

And there are lots of ways for our little helpers to get involved too! 💙

🎨 Children can create a winter picture or colouring sheet
💌 Make a little card or message of kindness
📚 Donate a new children’s book
🧸 Help put together a small activity pack for a child

You can also support the appeal by donating £5, £10 or whatever you can towards winter essentials.

Every coat, pair of gloves, children’s book or small act of kindness can make a difference.

💙 We are delighted to announce the winner of our HS Legal Colouring Competition! 🎨

We received so many fantastic entries, and we were genuinely amazed by the creativity, imagination and effort that went into every single picture. Choosing a winner was incredibly difficult!

A huge congratulations to 7-year-old Sargun, whose beautiful colouring entry captured our attention for the amount of detail!. 🌟

As our winner, Sargun will be receiving a special hamper of goodies – we hope you enjoy it! 🎁

A massive thank you to every child who took part. We loved seeing all of your wonderful artwork and can’t wait to run more competitions and community events in the future.

💙 Our Guess the Sweets competition winner has been decided! 🍬

Thank you to everyone who took part at our Oadby Nagar Kirtan stall.

The closest guess was 70 sweets… and there were 75 sweets in the jar! 🎉

Congratulations to our winner, who has now been contacted and they have collected the sweets.

Thank you again to everyone who entered – we loved seeing so many of you stop by our stall! 💙

We had a wonderful time at the Oadby Nagar Kirtan on Sunday. It was lovely to be part of such a special community event and to meet so many familiar faces, as well as new people who came along to say hello. 💙

Thank you to everyone who visited our stall, took part in our activities, and supported us on the day. We really enjoyed meeting you all.
