Today's good news story.

Meet the very beautiful Marly a 5 year old Standard American Bully (Girl) and 3 year old Oreo Standard American bully cross (Male)

They were both seized on the 15th June this year after being reported as XL Bullies.

On the 22nd June both dogs were assessed and whilst OREO was sadly deemed to be a banned breed, Marly was found not type.

Marly was safely returned home on 26th June, but Oreo had to stay in kennels while waiting for his day in court.

✨ UPDATE TODAY:
Oreo's case was heard at the Magistrates’ Court – and exemption status has been granted!

Oreo will be reunited with his family and Marly just as soon as he has been neutered and all final paperwork is completed.

Today's good news story.

UPDATE Red is now home you can watch his video here Red HOME not type (Supported by Rockys Army)

Red who was seized back in April last year as a suspected banned breed and once assessed was deemed to be an American Bully Xl by the police.

His owner went to court on 30/01/2026 sadly a destruction order was given and an appeal was lodged.

We became involved and helped Red and his owner secure a Barrister and and Independent expert.

Today the court heard from both prosecution and defence experts on the issue of is he a banned breed or not.

The good news after hearing all the evidence and cross examinations the courts agreed with the independent expert that Red is not a banned breed overturning the destruction order. Which means he can come home soon.

Many thanks to everyone who supported and Pamela S Rose Barrister and independent expert Amy Marshall - Expert Witness - Paws And Justice Dog Services for their great work today.

Today's good news story.

Meet the very handsome Bourbon.

Bourbon was initially exempted as an xl bully during the self exemption process. Sadly his owner became unwell and needed to do a transfer of keepership to a relative.

He has now been assessed by a police Dog Legislation Officer today, who has determined he is not a banned breed and does not meet enough of the criteria of any of the banned breeds.

Defra will now be informed and Bourbon can go to the family member free from all restrictions.

We wish Bourbon and his family all the very best for the future.

Today's good news story.

Meet the very handsome Chiro.

Chiro was seized after an incident. He has been held in kennels for a year whilst waiting his case going to court

Last week his case went to court and the courts granted a contingent destruction order allowing him home. Yesterday Chiro came home.

We are often asked why do families need a specialists solicitors as opposed to any good criminal law solicitor. There are many reasons why and one of those is having someone willing to not just fight for your dog but to argue costs.

In chiros case the costs requested by the prosecution was a staggering £14.980 🙈 his legal team successfully challenged the fees and they were reduced substantially to £2000

That's a reduction of £12,980.

Once again we would like to thank the legal team and barrister Marcia for a fantastic result.

We wish Chiro and his family all the very best for the future.

Today's good news story.

Meet the very handsome Major.

Major was initially self exempted but defra themselves had made mistakes which had not been corrected.

The good news is he was only seized for 2 weeks as proof was given and emails between owner and defra shown he was allowed home on the IES, Interim Exemption Scheme prior to court.

Yesterday his case went to court and the courts very satisfied have granted him exemption status.

As Major is already home his family are just waiting on the exemption papers.

We wish Major and his family all the very best for the future.

Many thanks to Steve the solicitor on this case. Who successfully argued costs also.
