Ideal Logic rescued today.
Interesting history to this , bad rain over the weekend and a possible blocked gutter ended up with a lot of rain getting down the flue of the boiler. On contract with BG the customer contacted them. Attending the engineer instantly said it needs a new boiler, and turned it off leaving a pensioner with no heat or hot water. They rang SB Gas Services for a boiler quote.
Attending I stripped the boiler (always suspicious when BG say they need a new boiler ) , dried everything out , gave it a good service (which had apparently been done recently in the year 🤔🤦‍♂️) and it’s running perfectly.
Again being genuine, honest and saving a customer a bill from BG for over £4000 !!! But overall ensuring customer safety first and foremost.
There’s a few of us left that won’t lead you down the garden path to an easy money job.

Keeping the old stuff chugging away again today.
Fan and full service on an Ideal FF250 ,
A new boiler isn’t always the only option when a breakdown occurs on older models as many will tell you “ooo it’s old can’t get parts” well you can. Many are refurbished but come with 12months warranty but if a new boiler is out of budget there’s other options, don’t be pushed into one.

Who is SB Gas Services ?
I’m Steve

On this day 35 years ago I walked (with more legs than now🤦‍♂️🤣) into British Gas New Wortley training centre as a new gas apprentice. Back then the training was second to none. Spent 17 years on various roles inc service/repair / central heating installations, apprentice training etc. Moved to Transco (now Northern Gas Networks) as emergency engineer, seen many things including being on site when a gas main exploded in Elland. Spent long time as a gas inspector for Kirklees, taught at college and audited. Seen a lot change in the industry. But always kept me busy, and as they say “everyday is a school day”
Great industry, great customers.

Now as SB Gas Services I’ve condensed my area and workload and prioritise local communities still providing the early days levels of customer service as I was taught at BG all those years ago.

Finally a Thankyou to all my customers, those that know me know it can now be a tough job for me at times after losing my right leg above the knee in a motorcycle accident in 2019, but I make sure I’m there, and everything is above all safe and efficient 🙏🏻

Good chance I’m Yorkshires only Robot Gas Man 🦿🤣
