An important update for duty holders.
From 1 April 2026, the Health and Safety Executive’s Fee for Intervention (FFI) hourly rate increased from £183 to £188.
While the uplift itself is modest, it is a timely reminder of the cost of falling short on health and safety compliance. Where the HSE identifies a material breach, it can recover the costs of its regulatory work including investigation, follow-up, correspondence and enforcement activity.
