Personal Guarantees can feel like just another piece of paperwork when you're trying to get a property deal over the line.

But they're definitely something worth understanding properly before you sign.

Our founder Sophie has worked with property investors and Personal Guarantees for years, providing the independent legal advice often required by lenders before finance can be completed.

She's also seen what can happen further down the line when a Personal Guarantee is called upon.

Nobody goes into a property investment expecting the worst to happen, but circumstances change. And when you've personally guaranteed borrowing through a business, the consequences can suddenly become very personal.

That's why Sophie is a big believer in making sure you actually understand what you're signing, what you're agreeing to and where you stand if things don't quite go to plan.

With lots of property investors in and around Knutsford, we thought it was worth a little reminder that this is another area Sophie can help with.

Our founder Sophie went out for this beetroot latte ( gorgeous) in Knutsford.

What she really loved about that was that she was meeting a client, but the café she was sitting in, she did their lease.

Then looking out of the window, over the road at Casbah Fitness, which she also did the lease for.

Then she looked to the right, and there's Evuna, which she's also done the lease for.

Sophie loves being part of the Knutsford community. She loves seeing businesses thrive, and she loves that she's a part of their journey.

Even more, the relationships we build through the work we do mean it's nice for her to be sat in a coffee shop in Knutsford and have the owners come up for a chat about how business is going, just being part of their journey.

Huge congratulations to Ricky, tying the knot tomorrow!

He shared some brilliant honesty on LinkedIn this week. As someone who's drafted countless prenups, he's skipping one for his own wedding, reasoning that if it ever went wrong, he'd rather value everything generously and walk away quickly than fight over percentages.
