Today we’re celebrating 25 of Dawn working at Greenwoods!

A quarter of a century in any profession is a remarkable achievement but to go from a newly qualified Legal Executive to Director is testament to what a remarkable person Dawn is.

When Dawn first started with Greenwoods there was no Facebook, no Instagram, in fact there was no social media at all! If you wanted to show your friends a photograph of your lunch you had to wait 7 days for it to be developed then send it to them by post. There was no YouTube, no “I’m a Celeb”, no smartphones and no Land Registry Portal, even Grey’s Anatomy was four years away from making its debut.

Olivia Rodrigo, Millie Bobby Brown and Becky (one of our conveyancing paralegals) hadn’t been born yet. “Pure and Simple” by Hear’say was number 1 in the charts and Bridget Jones’s Diary was the most viewed film in cinemas.

Over the last 25 years Dawn has helped around 6000 people move into their dream home…and two poor souls move to Lancashire.

Congratulations Dawn, and here’s to another 25 years!

Happy Easter from all of us at Greenwoods. Thank you for Paintingpots for organising the Easter Bunny’s visit to the office. We have some extra special helpers in the office this week over the Easter holidays who were very excited to meet the bunny themself

A week ago we got dressed up and attended the Stray Ferret Awards 2026. Whilst we didn’t win the awards we were shortlisted for we still had some wins on our table. Anita won the raffle prize of £250 to spend at Ogdens and Bex won a stay at Swindton Estate. The food was gorgeous and the company even better. Congratulations to the winners.

A message from Camilla✨ Tonight’s the night! ✨
Very excited for the Stray Ferret Awards this evening, proudly sponsored by our friends at Prosperis Ltd. Greenwoods Solicitors are shortlisted for two awards — Family Business and Business of the Year — how fabulous.
But before the glamour… there’s the juggle.

At 6:15pm I’m on a call with a client.
At 4:30pm my daughter is at the doctor’s.
By 6pm I’m expected to be in my dress and awards ready.
And somewhere in between I’m supposed to be a functioning solicitor, a present mum, and a business owner who remembers where she left her laptop charger.

Honestly, being a mum, a lawyer, and a business owner should qualify as an Olympic triathlon. Except instead of medals, you get cold coffee, a calendar full of colour-coded chaos, and the occasional moment where you think, “Yes. I’m actually doing this.”

Tonight is one of those moments.

Whatever happens at the awards, I’m incredibly proud of our team at Greenwoods — a true family business in every sense. We show up for our clients, for each other, and for our own families… even when life insists on scheduling everything at the same time.

Here’s to the juggle, the joy, and the journey.
And here’s to all the parents out there doing the school run with one hand and running a business with the other you’re doing better than you think.
