From 1st April 2026, the registration fee charged by the Office of the Public Guardian (Scotland) for all Power of Attorney applications will increase from £96 to £99.

While the change is small, it’s a good reminder of the importance of putting your plans in place sooner rather than later. Granting a Power of Attorney ensures that someone you trust can make decisions on your behalf if you’re unable to do so.
