Introducing our new Tenants!

Following successful 12-month pupillages, Kirsten Lowes and Poppy Walker have accepted offers of tenancy and officially join Crown Chambers as Barristers.

Please join us in congratulating our new Pupil Barrister, Lucy Hamstead as she commences her pupillage with us this week!

Before commencing pupillage, Lucy practised as a County Court Advocate, appearing in a range of hearings including small claims trials, possession proceedings, bankruptcy proceedings and interim applications. Through this experience, she developed strong advocacy and case management skills, including managing her own caseload, liaising with solicitors and formulating submissions for the Court.

Lucy will be working side-by-side with her experienced supervisor and will initially focus on family law matters.

We had a brilliant night on Friday celebrating with members of Chambers and clients at the Hull Incorporated Law Society Ball 2026.

It was a pleasure to come together, enjoy a wonderful evening and raise money for the fantastic Dove House Hospice – and we were delighted to have two lucky winners on the night!

A huge thank you to the organisers for putting on such a fantastic event. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

We’re pleased to announce our next Breakfast Seminar session, featuring Lextox and guest speaker Donna Muldoon.

The session will explore drug and alcohol testing, including:

- Testing methods and interpreting results
- Abstinence, cessation and real-time monitoring
- What different testing methods can and can’t tell you
- How testing can support supervised contact, family reunification and recovery

Donna holds a first-class honours degree in Forensic Science and has 21 years’ experience in forensic laboratories, specialising in hair testing for drugs, metabolites and alcohol markers since 2008. She is also an experienced Expert Witness and a member of the Society of Hair Testing (SoHT).

We've recently received excellent feedback for Barrister Olivia McGeeney.

Olivia specialises in public law and private law family matters and accepts instructions from all parties at all stages of the proceedings.
