We all unfortunately know the very frightening fact that 1 in 2 people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime.
I personally know several people who unfortunately have been that one person – luckily enough many of them have survived and are still here today – which is something to be very thankful for – both for them and their families.
So, in exactly 2 months from posting this, on May 11th, I am taking on my biggest challenge to once again raises funds for research into all types of cancer.
Back in 2010, I did the Star Light Walk Norwich – 13 miles at night walking Norwich’s inner ring road. Then in 2022, I scaled it right back to a mere 6.2 miles, again at night around Norwich’s city centre.
On May 11th starting at 7.10 am, I am going to embark on the 26 mile marathon along the Norfolk coastline from Cromer to Holkham – courtesy of the Mighty Hikes raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Being 57 and fairly inactive, this will be a very big challenge for me – however I will meet this head on and am ever hopefully of completing this walk due to my Welsh determination and being so head strong and determined – although some may say it is my stubbornness. I am extremely proud once again to be raising money for a cancer charity.
Now here is where you all come in , the expected minimum fund raising pledge is £250 and I appreciate that times are hard for everyone and money is very tight, but if I could ask that we all dig deep to support me and everyone else doing one of these walks and any amount is worth giving and will be greatly appreciated by both me and the charity.
The donation can be from any business you may run or even a personal donation. If you are donating personally , please include the gift aid which will boost your donation by 25% - raising even more money with the press of one more button!
Thank you all in advance for reading this and hopefully sponsoring me and remember to look out for the post event photos!
