We are delighted to announce that of a successful planning application for our client for 11 Houndsgate, Nottingham, NG1. DJH Commercial is advising on the project with Mellorreid Architects providing excellent advice throughout the process and ensuring the project passed planning at the first time of asking. With the challenge of this being a grade 2 listed building, our clients and ourselves are very pleased with the result.

The impact of leaving dilapidation till the last minute!!

Why leaving a dilapidation claim to the last minute could impact you further. In dealing with a dilapidation claim, we try for both sides, mitigate any claim and any potential loss of rent. So if we can carry out the dilapidation works prior to any lease ending then mitigating any loss of rent claim.

A quick update - over the last 6 months we have been dealing what we thought would be a straight forward acquisition of a pub in Buxton. Unbeknown to us, the complexities that can arise with overseas money laundering checks with money coming from a family member that spent her entire career being paid by cash.
Given the current laws this is almost an impossible task where others I’m sure would have failed. With some persistence and determination we were able to work through this legally and obtain a satisfactory conclusion.
