We are delighted to announce a partnership between St Peter & St James hospice and Mancini Legal Solicitors!
From 10 August to 2 October 2026, we are offering free Basic Will appointments to members of the public — with 5 slots available each week. There is no obligation to donate, but if you would like to, every penny goes directly to the Hospice. What’s included:
✅ Appointment of executors
✅ Straightforward gifts to named individuals or charities
✅ Gift of the residuary estate to named beneficiaries
✅ Standard administrative provisions
✅ One consultation and one round of amendments
✅ Ex*****on formalities where arranged through us
Not included
❌ Trusts of any kind (including life interest, discretionary, and will trusts)
❌ Testamentary guardians for minor children
❌ Inheritance tax planning or advice
❌ Deeds of variation or other tax mitigation
❌ Mirror or mutual wills with non-standard reciprocal provisions
❌ Lasting Powers of Attorney
❌ Foreign assets or cross-border succession
❌ Complex family circumstances (including blended families or potential Inheritance Act 1975 claims)
If your situation is more complex, we will still see you, explain what is needed, and give you a clear fixed quote. No pressure to proceed.
A few things to note📋 The scheme is open to individuals aged 18 or over with capacity to make a will.
📋 Appointments are limited to a reasonable number per household at our discretion.
📋 Identity checks are required and charged separately at £60 + VAT per person.
📋 A client care letter confirming scope, identity checks, and data protection information will be issued for every instruction.
📋 Our usual standard of care and complaints procedure apply equally to all work carried out under this scheme.
📋 The scheme runs until 2 October 2026 or until all slots are fully booked, whichever is sooner. We reserve the right to close the scheme at any time.
