After a busy week helping families plan for the future, today is all about catching up on paperwork and admin.

One of the benefits of running a small business from my home office is having some wonderful company while I work. As you can see, my rabbit and dog take their roles as office assistants very seriously! 🐰🐶❤️

Working from home helps keep overheads down, allowing me to provide professional estate planning services at affordable prices while maintaining the personal, friendly approach my clients value.

Today is all about paperwork, preparation, and making sure everything is in place for the families I support.

💙 Don't Leave It Too Late – Put Your Lasting Powers of Attorney in Place Today

This week alone, I have met with two families who urgently needed a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) for a loved one.

Sadly, in both cases, their loved one had already lost mental capacity. This meant that an LPA could no longer be put in place, leaving the families with no choice but to apply to the Court of Protection.

The Court of Protection process is often:

❌ More expensive
❌ More time-consuming
❌ More complex
❌ More stressful for families at an already difficult time

An LPA allows you to choose who you trust to make decisions on your behalf if you are ever unable to do so yourself.

The important thing to remember is that anyone aged 18 or over can put an LPA in place, and it doesn't matter whether you own a house, have children, or are retired. Capacity can be lost unexpectedly through illness, accident, or injury at any age.

Don't wait until it's too late.
