This Volunteer Week we shine the spotlight on Little Victories in the Community.

Little Victories in the Community is a charitable organisation, founded with a vision that creates opportunity and inclusion for people who may need a little more help in achieving their goals, striving to play sport. Over the past few years they have grown in their reach and really are achieving such great things for children to access disability football and achieve their potential.

Here at Bridge McFarland we are proud to be a part of their journey.
This year has seen some notable events:
- Nicola Evans was honored to attend with Little Victories at the Disability Sport Yorkshire Awards in Leeds
- Coach Shaun won Volunteer of the Year
- Little Victories was awarded Organisation of the Year
- Coach Gaz, was in the final three for Coach of the Year
- Two players now embarking on progressing their careers at York City Football Club Foundation as part of their Cerebral Palsy Development Pathway
- The team attended and placed 2nd at the National CP Football League
- Shannon Aitkin supported the Club at The HEY Smile Foundation Cup football tournament
- Coach Katie (whom we sponsored to embark on her qualifications) achieving her full Coaching Qualification

We are so proud to be able to support Little Victories achieving such amazing things and look forward to the year ahead. Being a volunteer is not easy and all the team at Little Victories go beyond to volunteer every week to bring happiness to the children they support. We applaud you for your commitment and dedication to your community.

Marley's Physiotherapy Journey Continues

In March we shared that we have been sponsoring physiotherapy sessions for Marley with Flex Health, and that he’d made remarkable progress. We are pleased to say that the continued sessions are paying off and are enabling Marley to continue to gain strength.

Marley was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a progressive condition that causes muscle weakness and wasting. There is no cure for Marley's condition but the best treatment he can receive is regular physiotherapy to support his muscles and strength.

💬 His Mum says: “We can’t thank Bridge McFarland enough for the continued generous support they have given us funding further sessions for Marley. He is becoming so much stronger and is loving being more independent.”

Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning for Humber Business Week’s Business Economic Breakfast Briefing with guest speaker Alpesh Paleja Chief Economist at the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), Phil George from Forester Boyd and Rachel Miskin, a Partner in our Family Services department and one of our Training Partners.

Hosted by Bridge McFarland LLP, Forrester Boyd - Chartered Accountants, Systematic and The Grimsby Institute, the event brought together businesses and professionals from across the region for an insightful discussion on the economic landscape, future challenges, and opportunities for growth across the Humber.

It was fantastic to see so many local businesses in attendance, and we hope everyone enjoyed the talk, networking opportunities, and breakfast refreshments.
