Collaboration is one of the greatest advantages of being part of the Fry Group family of businesses.

Recently, Fry Site Services required the movement of plant equipment to support ongoing operations. Thanks to the flexibility and availability of the RecMat fleet, one of their hook-loading flatbeds was able to safely transport our equipment where it was needed.

Having access to the expertise, resources and capabilities of our sister companies allows us to work more efficiently, respond quickly to operational requirements and continue delivering a reliable service to our clients.

A big thank you to the RecMat team for their support.

🎖️ A Proud Evening for Fry Site Services

Wednesday 1st July, colleagues Robert Eeles and Chris Griffin were delighted to attend the Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Awards 2026 on behalf of Fry Group, of which Fry Site Services is a proud part, to receive the organisation's Silver Award.

The award recognises employers that demonstrate outstanding support for the Armed Forces community, including veterans, reservists, cadet force adult volunteers and military families.

At Fry Site Services, we recognise the tremendous skills, dedication and leadership that members of the Armed Forces community bring to the workplace. As part of FRY Group, we're proud to contribute to a culture that actively supports those who serve and have served.

It was a fantastic evening celebrating alongside organisations from across the South East that share a commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant and creating opportunities for the Armed Forces community to thrive.

Thank you to South East Reserve Forces' & Cadets' Association for hosting a memorable event, and to Leigh Thomas for his continued support and guidance.

Congratulations to everyone recognised at the awards. We look forward to continuing our support for the Armed Forces community in the years ahead.

Sunshine and serious progress for Fry Site Services (part of Fry Group). Our team have installed and tied 12 tonnes of rebar to perfection, now fully prepped for 40m³ of C35 concrete.

This follows a huge effort delivering the full substructure package:

✅ Reduce dig
✅ Thickening formations
✅ Drainage installation
✅ Gas membrane & waterproofing
✅ And the craftsmanship of steel fixing

All completed ahead of an excellently coordinated concrete pour.

A big thank you to Aintree Concrete Pumping for the boom pump and Gallagher Group Ltd for supplying the concrete.

Outstanding teamwork, great client collaboration with Ash Contracting Ltd and Leigh Academies Trust. Strong communication throughout has driven a superb outcome. Well done Team Fry.

We look forward to returning soon for insulation and screed works, followed later in the programme by the external landscaping package.

A Clean Site isn’t Glamorous… But It’s Essential

While pupils and staff were enjoying their well‑earned half‑term break, our team were ramping up on site delivering essential enabling works. Tight windows, busy programmes, and sensitive environments like schools mean one thing matters just as much as the work itself: leaving the site spotless.

A wash‑down might not be the most glamorous part of the job, but for us, our clients, and the school, it’s absolutely top priority. A clean, safe, tidy site is the first thing people see when they return — and we take that responsibility seriously.

To get the job done properly, we put our kit to work:

🚜 Our 3‑ton dumper towing a water bowser jet‑wash
💦 Navigating around the site with ease
🧽 Making sure every working area is returned to the highest standard

It’s simple - if we make a mess, we clean it. And we clean it well.

Great to see the team taking pride not just in the work we deliver, but in how we leave a site behind.

Here’s to high standards, happy clients, and a tidy start for pupils and staff returning after the break.

Fry Site Services & Fry MEP – Enabling Works in Full Swing

Great to see our Fry Site Services machinery hard at work this week, supporting enabling works including a gas diversion delivered by Fry MEP, along with new car park creation works.

Red and white is definitely the colour of the day - with our 5‑ton and two 3‑ton Takeuchi UK excavators putting in the graft. We make it our business to invest in the best, ensuring all our machinery is modern, reliable and fully site‑compliant.

Our operators favour Takeuchi for good reason: powerful performance, smooth controls and the kind of precision that makes a long shift on the levers a pleasure rather than a chore.

Always great to see our fleet out keeping busy, and we’re looking forward to a productive summer ahead.

Fry Site Services (part of Fry Group) are delighted to announce the successful award of a new project with REDS10.

This involves delivering a full civils, substructure and external works package to support a modular classroom development. The scope includes foundations, drainage infrastructure, car park reconfiguration, access routes and a full landscaping package.

This is exactly the type of project we have been working towards. It is technically detailed, programme driven and requires strong coordination in a live environment.

We are proud to have been instructed by REDS10 and to be playing a key role in delivering this scheme.

It also shows our integrated approach in action. Fry MEP will be delivering the gas diversion works, and RecMat will be supporting with haulage, plant logistics and RORO waste management throughout.

A lot of work goes on behind the scenes to get to this point. The team, the partnerships and the standards we set are all aligned. That work is paying off.

We’re building something strong and we’re only just getting going.

☀️ Sunny days and great progress at Christchurch Barnet

Fry Site Services (part of Fry Group) are really pleased to have completed the footings concrete pour on this exciting church project. It was a perfect day for it.

Before the pour, the team carried out precise rebar fabrication on site. This was installed over Cellcore, followed by the installation of side formwork to get everything ready.

Then it was time to pour...

50m³ of C35 concrete was placed using a large boom pump, keeping the job flowing smoothly from start to finish.

🔧 What we achieved:

✅ Careful preparation setting everything up properly
✅ Footings poured and finished to a high standard
✅ Base plates installed accurately ready for the next stage

Strong teamwork in the sun to deliver safely and on programme
With curing now underway, the steel frame will be installed by others. We will then return to complete the substructure block and brickwork.

👏 Big credit to the team for the hard work and attention to detail. Great to see this project taking shape.

➡️ On to the next phase, and keep an eye out for our upcoming video footage from the day 👀🎥

We’re excited to share that Fry Site Services (part of Fry Group) have been appointed by Ash Contracting Ltd to support the construction of the new nursery project.

Our works include substructure, drainage and external surfacing. The team is gearing up and we’ll have boots on the ground next week.

We’re genuinely delighted to secure another project with ASH Contracting. It’s a great reflection of the trust they place in our delivery, our people and the consistency we bring to every site.

We have extensive experience working on educational sites, and we understand the level of planning, communication and discipline required when operating in or around live school environments. Site safety, safeguarding and controlled logistics are absolutely critical, and our team is well‑versed in delivering high‑quality work while maintaining the highest standards of protection for pupils, staff and visitors.

We’ll also be supported by our sister company RecMat, ensuring aggregate supply and muck-away operations are fully streamlined. Having control of our own supply chain shows how well our integrated model works in practice and how it helps us deliver efficient, coordinated and cost‑effective solutions for our clients.

A brilliant project to be part of and we can’t wait to get started.

We’re pleased to share the latest addition to the Fry Site Services fleet (part of Fry Group), a new 13 tonne excavator, now mobilised and heading to site for its first project in Barnet.

This investment reflects our continued growth and our commitment to providing our teams with modern, reliable and high performance plant as we deliver larger and more complex groundworks packages. Fully branded in FSS livery and equipped with enhanced safety features, the machine is ready to play a key role in the early stages of a comprehensive groundworks and civil engineering scope.

Ongoing investment in our in house fleet remains central to our strategy, supporting efficiency, safety and consistently high standards for our clients.

We look forward to seeing the machine in action and sharing progress from Barnet soon.
