Are you looking to start your career in the legal profession? We're offering a fantastic entry-level opportunity for a motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Legal Administrative Assistant. This is a great chance to gain hands-on experience in a busy legal environment with full training and support provided.

What You'll Be Doing:

As part of the team, you’ll support solicitors and legal assistants who help clients buy and sell property. Your day-to-day work will include a variety of tasks that keep property transactions running smoothly, including:

Providing quotes to potential new clients.

Opening and setting up new case files and entering client information.

Preparing and sending out standard letters and legal documents.

Organising and scanning documents to keep client files accurate and up to date.

Speaking with clients, estate agents, and mortgage lenders on the phone or via email.

Supporting the team with Land Registry and HMRC forms (full training provided).

Helping to track important dates and chasing outstanding paperwork.

General office support, including Reception relief.

Managing incoming and outgoing post, photocopying, and general admin duties.

What We’re Looking For:

No legal experience is needed – we’re looking for someone who is:

Reliable and organised – able to keep on top of tasks and manage time well.

Willing to learn – keen to pick up new skills, with training and guidance.

Detail-focused – careful with spelling, numbers, and accuracy.

Good communicator – polite, professional, and confident with people.

Team player – happy to help others and contribute to a friendly working environment.

Positive and proactive – takes initiative and wants to grow in the role.

Requirements:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above preferred).

Strong IT skills – comfortable using Word, email, and learning new software.

Interest in law, property, or administration is a plus, but not essential.

Aspinall Wright, Glossop, are hiring for an exciting new role within the Residential Conveyancing Department. We are CQS and LEXCEL Practice Management accredited. The position will be on a permanent, full-time basis based in Glossop. This is a full-time hybrid role, if preferred. We understand that work/life balance is important and flexible working arrangement will be available for the right candidate.
Aspinall Wright have a modern case management and technical support systems. We have a relaxed office culture and team ethic throughout the business. We are people centered and believe in developing and nurturing talent, with training and opportunities to progress.
The ideal candidate must have considerable case handling experience in all areas of residential property. This must include excellent attention to detail, strong legal skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
You will be expected to manage your own case load and provide support and supervision to colleagues in the team. You will have exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact with clients, agents and work colleagues in a friendly and approachable manner.
Requirements:
- A thorough understanding of property law and the conveyancing process
- Complete knowledge of CQS and the ability to work within the Conveyancing Protocol
- IT literate with typing skills
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to prioritise and manage your own time
- A positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
