IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL SPONSOR LICENCE HOLDERS

The Home Office has significantly increased compliance checks, audits and enforcement action against businesses holding Sponsor Licences. Many businesses are facing licence suspensions and revocations due to non-compliance with sponsor duties.
At Khan Law Chambers, we strongly advise all sponsor licence holders to review their compliance procedures immediately.

Key Sponsor Licence Duties

1. Carry out and retain proper Right to Work checks for sponsored workers and employees.
2. Keep accurate records including:
* Passport copies
* BRP/eVisa status records
* Contact details
* Employment contracts
* Salary and payroll records
* Absence records.
3. Report relevant changes through the Sponsor Management System (SMS) within the required time limits, including:
* Change of work location
* Change of salary
* Change of job role
* Resignation or dismissal
* Company structure changes
* Change of company name or address.
4. Ensure sponsored workers are undertaking the genuine role stated on their Certificate of Sponsorship and are being paid correctly.
5. Maintain proper HR systems capable of monitoring attendance, absences and immigration status.

Common Reasons for Licence Suspension or Revocation:

* Failure to report changes
* Incorrect salary payments
* Poor record keeping
* Invalid Right to Work checks
* Workers not performing the sponsored role
* Non-genuine vacancies
* Failure to cooperate with Home Office compliance visits.

We recommend all sponsor licence holders carry out regular internal compliance audits and ensure all HR records are up to date before any Home Office inspection.

If your business holds a Sponsor Licence and requires a compliance review, mock audit, SMS reporting assistance or general immigration compliance advice, please contact us on

🎉 Skilled Worker Visa Application Successfully Approved

We are pleased to share another successful outcome achieved by Khan Law Chambers.

At the same time, we would like to provide an important update for all clients who currently have applications pending with the Home Office and are contacting us for progress updates.

⚠️ IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR ALL CLIENTS

We wish to reassure clients whose applications were submitted under the Standard Service that there are currently significant delays in Home Office decision-making.

📌 Real Case Example:
This Skilled Worker Visa application was submitted on 26/02/2026 and the approval decision was only received on 21/05/2026 — more than 2 months after submission.

Delays are now becoming increasingly common across many immigration categories and do not necessarily indicate any issue with your application.

✅ We continue to monitor all pending applications closely.
✅ Clients will be informed immediately once any communication or decision is received from the Home Office.
✅ If additional information or documents are required, we will contact you without delay.

We kindly ask all clients to remain patient during this period while applications are being processed.

Thank you for your continued trust and cooperation.
