Helping make the process straightforward, stress-free, and fully supported is what we strive for every day.

A huge well done to Brogan Shaw, whose professionalism and care made a real difference.

Last week, the UK Supreme Court sat in Glasgow for the first time in its history.

Our trainee solicitors had the opportunity to attend throughout the week and observe proceedings at the highest level.
From judicial intervention to the importance of precision in advocacy, the experience offered valuable insight into how complex legal arguments are tested in practice.

We’ve shared some of their reflections below.

Craig McCann and Brogan Shaw attended a careers fair at Carrick Academy in South Ayrshire last Friday, speaking with pupils from P6 to S2 about careers in law.

Through interactive discussions – including the classic “Jaffa Cake: biscuit or cake?” debate – they explored debating opinions and legal reasoning, as well as the concepts of liability and intellectual property.

They highlighted the variety of career paths available in law, from solicitors and advocates to paralegals, case handlers and legal support professionals, and discussed the importance of integrity and strong communication skills as key standards within the industry.

Well done to Craig and Brogan for representing the firm and helping to inspire the next generation. Thank you to Carrick Academy for having us – it was a fantastic opportunity to get involved!

As part of Action for Brain Injury Week, we’re supporting the work of Headway - the brain injury association in raising awareness of the impact brain injury can have on individuals, families, and communities.

Many of the challenges people face are not immediately visible, which makes understanding and awareness all the more important.

We’ve shared a short piece reflecting on this and recognising the experiences of those living with brain injury:
