The UK Government's immigration fees rose this week - and not by a small amount.

Additionally: the UK Home Office argues that the IHS payment aims to have migrants contribute to the NHS. However, this notion has raised concerns as many migrants who pay the IHS are also making national insurance contributions through their earnings. And so this effectively introduces an element of double taxation, which we believe is deeply unfair.

We really want people to be checking in on their neighbours and making sure that anyone who might be scared or hasn't signed up to the EUSS knows that MILK will be open for the next four Mondays with a solicitor and free appointments.

MILK and Teneu Legal are holding free legal surgeries to try and reach families in , particularly the Roma community, that have not signed up to the EU Settled Status scheme.

We will have an interpreter at the sessions to answer any questions people may have and a solicitor to help make sure the online forms are filled out correctly. Appointments will be held in MILK. Masks required and 2m social distancing.
