⭐ **Sometimes a 4-star review can mean just as much as a 5-star one!** ⭐

Of course, we love receiving our usual ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ reviews, but we’re actually **even more proud of this one** 🙌 because it demonstrates something incredibly important about how we manage our holiday homes. 🏡

During this stay, an unexpected issue arose with a fire alarm battery. 🔥🚨🔋 It wasn’t something that could have been predicted , these things occasionally happen.

But what matters is **how you deal with them when they do.** 💪

Thanks to our fantastic and trusted maintenance team 🔧🛠️, we were able to respond quickly ⚡, get someone to the property and rectify the problem with minimal disruption to our guests. 👏😊

The private feedback summed it up perfectly:

“The issue was dealt with as quick as it could be. So appreciate all involved who resolved the issue.” ❤️

You simply *can’t prevent every problem* when managing holiday accommodation.

✨ It’s the little touches that make a stay special… ✨

During our latest changeover at Beechlands, our beautiful luxury Dartmoor home, the arriving guests had arranged for a large supermarket delivery to arrive before they did.

Rather than leave everything waiting for them, we decided to go that little bit further. Our team unpacked the shopping, put everything away and made sure the fridge was stocked and ready for their arrival. 🛒🥂🍊

They were absolutely delighted — and even left us this lovely handwritten note:

“Thank you so much for bringing in our shopping – it arrived earlier than it should have. We hope this is an easy turn around for you.”

For us, managing a holiday home is about much more than cleaning and handing over the keys. It’s about looking after the guests, looking after the property and doing those little extras whenever we can. ❤️🏡

❤️ Sometimes, it’s the little things that matter the most.

A family recently stayed with us here at Short Stays UK, and after heading home they realised their little boy had accidentally left someone very important behind… his much-loved giraffe! 🦒

As you can imagine, the little chap was absolutely beside himself.

Thankfully, our team found Giraffe safe and sound, and he’s now been carefully packaged up and is making his way home. 📦🦒

His mum and I have agreed on the official story: Giraffe hasn’t been lost at all , he’s simply been on a little adventure of his own! And when he gets home very soon, we’re sure he’ll have plenty to tell his little owner about. ❤️

His mum even included a SAE and a lovely note thanking us for keeping him safe.

We manage properties, bookings, cleaning, maintenance and all the usual things that come with running holiday accommodation… but these are the important things.

Safe travels, Giraffe. Your little best mate is waiting for you. 🦒❤️

King of the World... or maybe just King of the Laundry Pile! 😂👑🧺

As you can imagine, it's peak season and our busiest time of the year, so it's all hands to the pump here at Short Stays UK! 💪🏡

We've had 57 reservations across the SSUK portfolio in the past week 🤯, which means plenty of changeovers, laundry bags, and teamwork! 🛏️🧺🚗

My lovely lad has been getting stuck in this weekend and will be working with us throughout the summer holidays. It's a great way to earn some pocket money , learn the value of hard work 💪, and spend some quality time together.

You've been a massive help already, and it's been great having you alongside us. Proud of you Son! ❤️
