Family Mediation Week takes place from Monday 26 until Friday 30 January 2026 and is organised by the Family Mediation Council.

A group of like minded local mediators and other professionals working in family law met to talk all things mediation and the huge benefits we find it makes for our clients.

It was so nice to catch up especially as it was over coffee and cake at the fantastic café on Emsworth train station – Queenies – a hidden gem.

This week the LK Team said a fond farewell to Laura Keeley who has been working with us since November 2024 as a paralegal, and from August 2025 under the Solicitor Apprentice Scheme, gaining knowledge in all aspects of family law and giving us and our clients much support.

We would like to wish Laura all the very best for the future in her new role in a different legal sector while continuing with her apprenticeship and on to her qualification as a solicitor.

Our Christmas Party this year was again held at the end of November. We decided to take part in a murder mystery night “who killed Father Christmas?” which was held by Minstead Trust We all had a great time at the event and monies were raised by the ticket sales, a raffle on the night and the option of buying extra clues for a donation! The whole evening raised a fantastic £2254.00.

Please note - we are closing for the festive period from 5pm on Friday 19th December 2025 and will reopen at 9am on Monday 5th January 2026.

We are delighted to say that Kristy and Lisa took part in the Titan Wealth Marathon Relay Race in Jersey on Sunday 5th October! They raised a fantastic £491.22 which has been donated the Home-Start Chichester & District.

We have also held a collection tin in the office for Home-Start Chichester & District where we ask clients that attend the office to swear or certify any documents to make a voluntary donation. We managed to raise £584.54 in total and so this added together with the Jersey run donations totalled £1,075.76!

We are hoping to support Naomi House & Jacksplace for the next couple of years where they provide vital respite, end of life care and bereavement support to local seriously ill children, young adults and their families that need it most.
