The Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) will increase on 6 February 2024. It was first planned to start on 16 January 2024, but a House of Commons committee approved the change on that date, pushing the start date to 6 February. If people want to avoid the higher fee, they should apply before 6 February 2024.

This Order amends the Immigration (Health Charge) Order 2015 (S.I. 2015/792), which requires a person who applies for entry clearance for a limited period, or for limited leave to remain in the United Kingdom, to pay an immigration health charge.
