Sometimes a person with dementia will behave in ways that are difficult to understand in the late afternoon or early evening. This is known as 'Sundowning'.

Sundowning can happen at any stage of dementia but is more common during the middle stage and later stages.

🎄Caritas Legal’s Christmas Fundraiser 2025🎄

This December we are collecting for Age Scotland.

Recent numbers suggest that around 150,000 older Scots spend Christmas alone.

Age Scotland tackle loneliness by running Friendship Services and Community Groups, helping a wide array of Scots, including Veterans and Carers. In support of Age Scotland, we will be matching client donations through the month. We will also be running fundraisers so keep an eye on our page.
